Senior Network Architect
A leading enterprise organization is seeking a
Senior Network Architect
to join its Corporate IT team in Dallas, Texas. This individual will serve as a key technical leader, responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-wide network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Provided expert-level technical leadership for enterprise network architecture, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across data centers and remote sites.
Designed, implemented, and maintained network infrastructure solutions, including routing (SD-WAN/BGP/OSPF), switching (VLAN/VXLAN), firewalls (Firepower, FortiGate), load balancers (NetScaler), and wireless technologies (Cisco WLC).
Oversaw the integrity and security of all network boundaries, implementing firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other cybersecurity defenses.
Developed and maintained comprehensive network topology maps, configuration documentation, and system performance metrics.
Created and tested network-centric disaster recovery and incident response plans.
Partnered with management to optimize service delivery, vendor relationships, and cost efficiency across network operations.
Led network assessments, audits, and compliance efforts, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing remediation strategies.
Collaborated with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud and on-prem infrastructure (Azure Networking, VXLAN, Cisco UC, video services).
Drove automation initiatives using scripting languages such as
Python
to streamline monitoring, troubleshooting, and configuration management.
Supported proposal development and network requirements capture for new initiatives and infrastructure upgrades.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
12+ years
of combined network engineering and technical leadership experience.
Cisco Certified (CCNP or higher)
or
Fortinet Certified (FCSS or higher)
strongly preferred.
Proven experience in large-scale enterprise networking environments spanning data centers, cloud, and remote sites.
Deep understanding of network protocols, encryption, and virtualization technologies.
Demonstrated experience with supplier and carrier management, network security controls, and compliance frameworks.
Strong background in automation, monitoring, and performance tuning using modern networking tools and scripting.
