We’re seeking a hands‑on Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise networking, security, and telecommunications systems. The ideal candidate is highly technical, collaborative, and comfortable working across both design and physical infrastructure tasks—ranging from routing and switching to firewall configuration and network monitoring. Responsibilities
Design, configure, and implement secure and reliable network, security, and communications systems. Manage routing and switching environments across Cisco Nexus and Catalyst platforms. Configure and maintain firewalls (Palo Alto preferred) and load balancers (F5 preferred). Utilize monitoring tools such as SolarWinds (or equivalent) for performance tracking, alerting, and optimization. Support authentication and access management using Cisco ISE, TACACS, and related technologies. Implement and troubleshoot routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP. Configure VPNs (IPsec or DMVPN) and Layer 2 extensions between sites. Diagnose and resolve network performance issues, security incidents, and connectivity problems. Collaborate with cross‑functional IT teams to plan, document, and deploy network upgrades and solutions. Conduct system analysis, research new technologies, and propose design enhancements to improve performance and reliability. Maintain accurate configuration and change documentation throughout all deployments. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to IT and networking staff. Perform hands‑on physical tasks as needed (e.g., routing and stacking cables, moving tiles, racking equipment). Present technical findings and recommendations to management and non‑technical stakeholders. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent experience accepted. 6–8 years of experience in enterprise networking, security, or telecommunications engineering. Strong hands‑on experience with: Monitoring Tools: SolarWinds (preferred) or similar. Firewalls: Palo Alto (preferred). Authentication: Cisco ISE, TACACS, RSA. Routing Protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP. Switching: Cisco Nexus and Catalyst. Load Balancing: F5 (preferred). VPN: IPsec, DMVPN, SD‑WAN. Solid understanding of network security concepts, IDS/IPS, and encryption principles. Experience designing and supporting complex network topologies, including data center and cloud‑connected environments. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to isolate and resolve complex network issues. Excellent documentation, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a hybrid or on‑site environment. Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or Security+ are preferred. Benefits
