Johnson & Johnson MedTech invites you to apply for the Field Reimbursement Manager position. This field‑based role serves territories in Agoura Hills, CA; Westlake Village, CA; Santa Clarita, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; and Thousand Oaks, CA.
Primary Responsibilities
Educate HCPs on product coverage, prior authorizations, reimbursements, claims submissions, procedures, and coding requirements for core and launch products.
Collaborate with field support team members and act as reimbursement expert for the local team.
Act with urgency to address patient access and affordability issues.
Partner with managed‑care colleagues to understand current policies and future changes.
Conduct field‑based reimbursement and access support, education, and problem‑solving aligned to Field Reimbursement Manager Rules of Engagement.
Build trust‑based relationships with customers in assigned immunology accounts.
Manage territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
Maintain knowledge of national, regional, local, and account market dynamics including coverage and coding requirements.
Grow knowledge of hub and specialty distribution channels to improve practice and patient support needs.
Collaborate with internal J&J departments (marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, PECS) as a subject‑matter expert on access and affordability solutions across payer types and plans.
Execute business with the highest ethical, legal, and compliance standards, completing required training on time.
Market Access Expertise
Extensive knowledge of medication access channels, including pharmacy and medical benefits (buy & bill, assignment of benefit) across multiple sites of care.
Stays current on product coverage, access knowledge, marketplace conditions, and stakeholder practices.
Adapts to the changing healthcare ecosystem to customize resourcing and messaging to HCPs and staff.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree (healthcare, business, public administration); advanced degree (MBA, MPH) preferred.
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Account management and/or reimbursement experience in hospital and/or provider office settings, building strong customer relationships.
Demonstrated expertise with pharmacy and medical/buy‑&‑bill benefits, coding, and billing.
Reimbursement or managed‑care experience (revenue cycle, buy‑and‑bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals).
Ability to collaborate and influence across a matrix organization.
Problem‑solving skills to navigate challenging access scenarios and provide timely solutions.
Experience with patient support HUB services.
Valid U.S. driver’s license and compliant driving record.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Permanent residence in the listed territory.
Preferred
Immunology disease‑state experience.
Advanced degree or certifications in prior authorization, billing, or coding.
Strong market‑access acumen related to payer approval processes and business.
Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives affecting reimbursement.
Excellent knowledge of payer policy, including coding, coverage, and payment.
Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $100,000 – $175,000.
