Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Concrete Mixer Driver! In this essential role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freshly mixed concrete from the batch plant to various job sites. Compensation Hourly rate starting from $45.00 to $45.18, depending on experience. Responsibilities Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Deliver ready-mix concrete to diverse job sites. Safely operate a multi-axle mixer truck, following all traffic laws. Clean and maintain the vehicle by removing concrete buildup from all external parts. Be responsive to customer demands and adapt to changing schedules. Use a radio to communicate with company personnel effectively. Follow all safety regulations, including company and governmental policies. Report any incidents and injuries to management immediately. Participate in safety meetings as scheduled. Education High School Diploma or GED is required. Requirements/Qualifications Hold a current Commercial Class A or B driver's license with airbrakes and tank endorsements. Maintain a safe driving record; provide DMV H-6 printout, with no serious moving violations in the last 36 months, and no more than two moving violations in the last 24 months. Possess a current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate. Ability to read maps and follow GPS driving route instructions. Familiar with concrete slumps and mixtures. Exhibit good attendance and punctuality. Capable of working in both hot and cold weather conditions. Physically able to climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift extension chutes (up to 60 lbs.), stretch, and operate a vehicle. Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule, including potential overtime, weekends, and nights. Preferred: Prior experience in the ready-mix or heavy construction industries. A minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience. Conditions of Employment The successful candidate must undergo a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screening, and background check. Some positions may require ongoing drug and alcohol testing as regulated by FMCSA.
