Seasonal Tax-FSO- GCR Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory-BCM Senior Manager
Join EY as a Seasonal Tax-FSO- GCR Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory-BCM Senior Manager. This role supports EY’s Financial Services Organization (FSO) by providing tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting, planning, and provision processes for clients in the Banking and Capital Markets sector.
Location Anywhere in Country – New York or Remote. The position is a seasonal engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clients with tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning (internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve‑out financial statements, GAAP conversions from US GAAP to IFRS or IFRS to US GAAP, share‑based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts).
Assist companies in all aspects of the preparation of the tax provision and the review of the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Enhance the control environment by assessing tax risk and control environments inclusive of and beyond Sarbanes‑Oxley Section 404 boundaries.
Skills & Attributes for Success
Tax accounting projects and consulting experience.
Tax provision preparation and review.
Process and controls enhancement.
Identification, prioritization, monitoring, and remediation of key risks.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in a related field and significant tax or legal experience (MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred).
Valid US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active state bar membership.
Minimum of 10 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRS.
Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation.
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
Ideal Additional Qualifications
Strong ASC 740 and/or IAS 12 experience and corporate tax planning and compliance expertise.
Extensive experience in business or industry with broad exposure to federal income taxation.
