Summary/Objective: The Project Engineer - MEP will collaborate with Project Managers (PMs) and Project Manager Assistants (PMAs) to provide leadership for multiple Commercial Construction projects. This role requires daily interaction with field crews, customers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure that all team members have the necessary information and resources for success. Essential Functions: Maintain project tracking reports to monitor productivity and labor utilization. Create and maintain internal project schedules. Prepare complete, accurate, and timely submittals for construction projects based on project drawings, specifications, and vendor information. Track and receive approved submittals from architects or engineers and coordinate with the project team. Assist the Project Manager and other Project Engineers by preparing necessary documentation for change requests. Complete all required project close-out documents according to contract specifications. Update and distribute contract documents to subcontractors, including drawings, specifications, and general conditions. Schedule all required construction meetings with the ACI team, subcontractors, vendors, and customers. Attend pre-bid, project, and closeout meetings. Solicit proposals from subcontractors and suppliers before submission deadlines. Prepare correspondence with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Submit building permit applications, follow up on review progress, and obtain approvals. Assist the Project Manager in achieving quality, schedule adherence, budget management, and safety standards. Utilize tools for schedules and document management to track project performance. Document quality and progress of each subcontractor and supplier, notifying them of changes to plans, specifications, and/or schedules. Inform management of productivity, costs, quality control, and the processing of payment applications. Notify management of any issues affecting quality, budget, progress, and safety. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility:

No Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in an engineering field, with 2+ years of experience in a commercial construction environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to apply innovative management techniques to maximize team performance. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Ability to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, and follow written and oral instructions while demonstrating attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Adherence to all company policies and procedures is essential. Flexibility to work assigned schedules. Work Environment: Typical work in a professional office environment using standard office equipment. Position may require visits to construction sites. Physical Demands: Regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Travel: Infrequent travel may be required (typically not overnight). Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a Project Engineer on heavy commercial construction projects. Familiarity with MS Project or other scheduling software programs. Experience with 3D modeling tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks). Knowledge of PDF editing software (Bluebeam, Adobe).
