Responsibilities
Perform detailed contract reviews to identify and document key revenue recognition considerations in accordance with ASC 606.
Maintain Zuora Revenue.
Prepare and review complex journal entries and account reconciliations related to revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable.
Act as a technical accounting resource for the business, providing guidance on revenue implications of new products, offerings, and deal structures.
Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reporting disclosures related to revenue.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, analysis, and explanations for revenue transactions.
Oversee day‑to‑day revenue operations, including billing, collections, and deferred revenue schedules.
Collaborate with Sales and Sales Operations teams to ensure accurate customer data, pricing, and contract terms are reflected in systems such as Salesforce and NetSuite.
Drive process improvements and automation within the quote‑to‑cash cycle to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between billing and revenue records, working with cross‑functional partners to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Document and maintain process narratives and internal controls related to the revenue cycle to ensure SOX compliance.
Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of new accounting systems or enhancements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of accounting experience focused on revenue recognition.
CPA certification or actively pursuing is highly preferred.
Experience in a publicly traded company is highly preferred.
Experience in the SaaS or software industry is a significant advantage.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to interpret complex data and contracts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with non‑accounting teams.
Proactive, self‑starter with a proven track record of meeting critical deadlines.
Must Have
Proficiency in Zuora Revenue.
Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. GAAP with specific expertise in ASC 606.
Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups). Experience with Salesforce is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits The compensation range for this role is $85,600.00 – $107,000.00 base pay. The actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and internal equity. This role is eligible for the full range of benefits available to regular full‑time employees, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and flexible working arrangements.
