Join the Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program, an accelerated entry-level opportunity designed to prepare you for a rewarding career in Store Management within 18-24 months. With our promote-from-within philosophy, you'll have the chance to progress to an Assistant Store Manager position following the successful completion of the initial 8-week training program.
Start Date: Summer 2026
This position typically involves a schedule of 44 hours per week, which may include evenings and weekends. Throughout the program, you will work closely with store management to oversee a million-dollar operation, providing leadership and valuable insights into the store's development and strategic planning.
You will learn about store operations, customer interactions, and internal strategies that are vital to your team's success. By engaging with large commercial users such as painting contractors and purchasing agents, you will contribute to expanding the company's market share by promoting our high-quality products.

Job Responsibilities: Complete training in line with established program guidelines. Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability. Ensure excellent customer satisfaction through outstanding service. Build and maintain knowledge of all products to provide effective customer recommendations. Develop positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers. Handle store administration tasks efficiently. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, safety, and security standards. Maintain the store's condition and visual merchandising standards. Support the training and development of store employees. Handle customer and employee complaints effectively. Collaborate with the Store Manager to conduct outside sales calls to enhance market share. Minimum Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have legal authorization to work without sponsorship for employment visa status. Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License. Must hold a bachelor's degree by the start of the program. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications: At least one year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service roles. Experience in leadership positions overseeing teams or projects. Previous experience in team-oriented environments. Familiarity with selling paint and related products. Experience using timekeeping and/or customer relationship management systems. Willing to relocate for future job opportunities. Fluency in more than one language is a plus. Ability to communicate in Spanish is highly desirable.
