**THIS ROLE IS 90% TRAVEL THROUGHOUT THE WEEK** **CANDIDATE MUST BE CONUS LOCATED BUT DOESN'T NEED TO BE LOCATED IN VIRGINIA** Title: Traveling Network Technician (90% Travel) Clearance Required: Secret Certification Required: Security+ Top Skills' Details 1. 3-5 Years of Experience decommissioning + replacing + configuring Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Wireless Access Points (WAPs) 2. 1-3 Years of Experience Racking/Stacking servers or working in a datacenter environment 3. Good communication + documentation skills are necessary Job Description: TEKsystems is looking for Traveling Network Technicians for a 10-12 month project that is slated to go through 2025. The project will be swapping out different networking equipment, including: Cisco Routers + Switches, firewalls, Wireless Access Points (WAPs), etc. The right candidate will have experience with: Decommissioning + configuring + troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls Racking + stacking servers good oral + written communications skills This project will be supporting a newly built network and helping get the agencies ready to migrate prepared for that migration by upgrading outdated equipment across the world. Travel will be mostly CONUS but there is a chance there will be some OCONUS travel. This is a high visibility project for the client and is imperative to the success of the program + mission. • This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI) or the ability to be obtain an (Interim Secret, Interim Top Secret) • Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required o Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
