Engineering Technician with Security Clearance

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring an Engineering Technician Position Type: Full time Contract, Contract to Hire Shift: 6:00AM – 3:45 PM Mon-Thursday; 8 hours on Friday As an Engineering Technician you will • Perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. • Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. • Work from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. • May work with complex machines or computer systems. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Support of Space Vehicle satellite manufacturing • Following engineering drawings and defined manufacturing processes. • Cable and harness installation, routing and cable management, cable mate/demate operations • Mechanical assembly and test of space hardware including ESD sensitive hardware. • Rigging/overhead crane and forklift operation, • Preparation for and conducting system level hardware testing (deployments, environments testing, etc.). • Performing system level alignments to meet system requirements • Field support for launch vehicle integration Manual dexterity, motor skills and situational awareness to handle and manufacture space hardware. An Ideal Candidate will have • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. • Cable and harness installation, routing and cable management, cable mate/demate experience • Mechanical assembly and test of hardware including ESD sensitive hardware • Preparation for and conducting system level hardware testing (deployments, environments testing, etc.). • This position needs Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
