As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank's Merchant Services team, you will play a crucial role as part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products with a focus on security, stability, and scalability.
Job responsibilities
Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Leading one or more scrum teams with ownership and accountability Running Production operations independently and a self sustainable model Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. Proficient in coding in one or more languages - Java / Spring Boot / Microservices / RestAPIs/ Python Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages. Strong Programming Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS (EC2, EKS, RDS, DDB, S3, SQS, KDS, MSK, Lambdas, Glue) Hands on experience in Software Development tools and CI/CD tools - Jenkins, Spinnaker, IntelliJ, Bitbucket Hands on experience in Infrastructure As Code (IAC) - Teraform Experienced in SRE and Observability tools - Splunk, Dynatrace and Datadog Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
EAC (Environment As a Code) Familiarity with modern front-end technologies - React.JS preferred 10+ years hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
