Responsibilities

Build, design and maintain high‑quality, scalable full‑stack applications using React, Next JS, TypeScript, Java, Node JS and modern frameworks.

Leverage AI‑powered tools like Cursor AI, ChatGPT, Co‑Pilot, Perplexity or similar technologies to streamline development, enhance user experiences and deliver innovative solutions at scale.

Partner closely with Product, Design and Engineering teams to bring ideas to life across Backcountry, Competitive Cyclist, MotoSport and SteepandCheap.

Write clean, modular, and well‑documented code that’s easy to maintain and expand.

Advocate for simple, scalable solutions by understanding business problems deeply.

Proactively identify technical improvements and recommend architectural enhancements.

Lead by example in code reviews, mentoring junior engineers and driving best practices.

Participate in all stages of the development lifecycle – requirements, design, development, testing, deployment and documentation.

Monitor systems in production and provide day‑to‑day support, ensuring stability and performance.

Occasionally lead a small squad of 2‑3 engineers from planning to execution.

Qualifications

Senior‑level full‑stack development experience with expertise in React, Next.js, TypeScript, Java and Node JS.

Strong knowledge of modern web development concepts, design patterns and architecture.

Experience with AI technologies like Cursor AI, ChatGPT, Copilot or similar tools to support full‑stack development and user engagement strategies is a plus.

Experience in cloud environments (GCP/AWS) and with CI/CD pipelines.

Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.

Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes and DevOps best practices (nice‑to‑have).

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Passion for clean code, unit testing and performance optimization.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience).
