Genesis Consulting – Senior IT Architect / Technical Manager Genesis Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior IT Architect / Technical Manager to lead the design, modernization, and security of enterprise‑scale cloud environments. This hands‑on technical leadership role focuses on strategy, architecture, and execution. Join our team and leverage SAP cloud technology to configure, deliver, and support applications for our clients while applying Lean, Agile, Kanban, and SAFe principles. Our clients are some of the world’s leading companies, and the candidate will be part of challenging projects to build and support technical solutions for their needs.

Duties and Responsibilities The Senior IT Architect / Technical Manager will lead the architecture and delivery of secure, scalable cloud solutions that drive modernization across our enterprise clients. Duties will include but may not be limited to:

Technical Leadership & Architecture:

Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost‑effective cloud solutions across AWS and Azure (hybrid and multi‑cloud).

Build robust security architectures, leveraging IAM, zero‑trust policies, and tools such as firewalls, WAFs, and SIEMs.

Oversee enterprise networking (SD‑WAN, VPNs, VPCs, and load balancers) and ensure efficient, secure connectivity across systems.

Cloud, Automation, & DevSecOps:

Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.

Continuously enhance CI/CD pipelines with security best practices and automated testing using Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) and DevSecOps principles.

Operational Excellence:

Drive cloud cost optimization and ensure production environments meet SLAs.

Develop disaster recovery plans, enhance system monitoring, and reduce downtime through proactive troubleshooting.

Cybersecurity Oversight:

Safeguard systems through advanced threat detection, vulnerability management, encryption, and compliance initiatives (e.g., NIST, GDPR, ISO 27001).

Collaborate with SOC teams on incident response and risk mitigation strategies.

Cross‑Team Collaboration & Strategy:

Work with teams across departments to align technology solutions with business goals.

Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders and leadership.

Advocate for innovation in areas such as cloud modernization, cybersecurity, and process automation.

Qualifications & Experience

10+ years in IT, cloud, and security with 5+ years in a leadership or architectural role.

Expertise in AWS & Azure cloud (VPCs, IAM, containers, hybrid environments).

Strong understanding of enterprise security (firewalls, encryption, IAM, incident response).

Proficient with networking (SD‑WAN, Direct Connect, routing, and VPN).

Leadership in DevSecOps and automation with CI/CD pipelines.

Strong communication and team leadership skills; able to simplify complex systems.

Quick learner, adaptable to emerging technologies and challenges.

A problem solver with a passion for scalable and secure solutions.

Someone who thrives at the intersection of technical strategy and hands‑on execution.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Master’s Degree preferred.

Required Certifications

AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert, CISSP, CEH, or CISM.
