Government Services Team Our Government Services team provides cleared resources with a global reach to federal civilian, Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence community markets. We excel at delivering innovative, operationally ready, and cost‑effective IT solutions that accelerate the interoperability and resiliency of mission‑critical systems.

What will you be doing? World Wide Technology, LLC has an opportunity available for an AWS Cloud Engineer to support our Government Services team in building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in DevSecOps practices, with hands‑on experience in infrastructure automation, configuration management, and CI/CD pipelines. You will be responsible for designing, building, and securing cloud environments that enable scalable, reliable, and secure business applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cloud Architecture & Automation

Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS.

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.

Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of cloud resources.

DevSecOps & CI/CD

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab with security and compliance integrated.

Implement DevSecOps practices to ensure secure, automated delivery of infrastructure and applications.

Integrate automated security scanning and compliance checks into pipelines.

Cloud Security & Compliance

Apply best practices in cloud security, IAM, network design, and data protection.

Collaborate with security teams to embed guardrails and ensure regulatory compliance.

Perform ongoing vulnerability assessments and remediation in AWS/GCP environments.

Collaboration & Support

Work closely with application teams, SREs, and platform engineers to provide scalable and reliable environments.

Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and implement long‑term fixes.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

Cloud Platforms: Deep hands‑on experience with AWS (compute, networking, IAM, storage, monitoring).

Automation Tools: Proficiency in Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure and configuration automation.

CI/CD Pipelines: Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD (runners, pipelines, security integrations).

DevSecOps Practices: Knowledge of container security, secrets management, compliance automation, and vulnerability scanning tools.

Programming/Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.

Monitoring & Logging: Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or cloud‑native equivalents.

Security Mindset: Strong understanding of IAM, encryption, cloud security controls, and zero‑trust principles.

Minimum Secret Clearance required with ability to obtain Top secret.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or similar.

Experience with Kubernetes (GKE, EKS) and container orchestration.

Knowledge of multi‑cloud strategies, networking, and hybrid cloud integration.

Exposure to policy‑as‑code frameworks (e.g., OPA, Sentinel).
