Network Engineer with Security Clearance Required

In this dynamic position, you will play a key role in the design, maintenance, and modernization of a vital global satellite communications system. Your contributions will be critical in updating network equipment hardware and software in both lab and production environments. Key Responsibilities: Support the design and modernization of satellite communication systems. Audit equipment health, troubleshoot faults, and manage replacements. Patch IA vulnerabilities and enhance network security. Implement design changes and replace end-of-life components in datacenter racks. Collaborate with vendors for quotes and procurement of new parts. Travel to deploy and maintain new datacenter racks as necessary. Document processes for remediation and network security enhancements. Daily Activities: Install, design, and troubleshoot LANs and WANs with IPSEC tunnels across the OSI model. Configure and maintain network routers, switches, and firewalls from Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto. Manage datacenter equipment, including servers and RF equipment. Support engineering efforts for IA remediation across all networking components. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5 years of TCP/IP network design and troubleshooting experience. 3 years of working with satellite communication server racks and equipment. Relevant networking certifications (CCNA, CCNP, etc.) preferred. Experience with RF equipment, ethernet, and power cables setup. Location:

This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to be present at our main campus in Carlsbad, CA, at least 3 days a week. Security Clearance:

Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a United States Secret Clearance. Additional Skills That Will Set You Apart: Experience in network design and device qualification. Familiarity with online device updates and IA patches. Live production network troubleshooting and SLA maintenance experience. Server room management and virtualization technologies experience (e.g., ESXI, OpenStack). Familiarity with test and bug tracking tools such as Jama and Jira. Salary:

$105,500.00 - $150,000.00 annually.
