Duties and Responsibilities
Schedule foremen, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
Ensure that the foreman report to the superintendent and that the foreman is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work and has corrected all deficiencies identified by the project team.
Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
Identify foreman non‑compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards and issue notices of non‑compliance to foremen in regards to quality of work or scheduling.
Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.
Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously.
Schedule and preside over weekly foreman meetings designed to coordinate the work and participate in project hand‑off meetings.
Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
Evaluates specifications for plan procedures, start and completion dates, and staffing requirements for each phase of the construction project.
Hires, directs and motivates foreman, personnel, foremen and staff engaged in planning and executing work procedures.
Interprets specifications and company policies to subordinates and/or contractors and enforces safety regulations. Analyzes and resolves work problems, including worker complaints and grievances.
Inspects projects under construction on a regular basis to ensure the work conforms to specifications, budget and schedule and initiates any repair or replacement needs and/or adjustment of working procedures. Regularly communicates with the project team regarding project status.
Assists the project manager in preparing and performing "turnover" procedures.
Ensures on a weekly basis, time sheets are turned in at the proper time with accurate reporting of job cost coding and equipment hour usage.
Directs a weekly look ahead whereby foreman prepare a projected labor, equipment and material requirements with a "Plan B" in case they are challenges. Manages the securing of equipment and material for the foremen.
Ensures daily manpower productions are accurately recorded each day in a meaningful way and turn in to the office in order to determine if production is meeting the "burn rate" of the estimated production.

Supervisory Responsibilities This position manages employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently inspect the project and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and vision.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 40 hours per week or as required.
Travel Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some projects may require more out-of-the-area and overnight travel.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to obtain security pass to federal job sites.
