Temporary Payroll & HR Coordinator
to help us with payroll and operational human resources‑related functions at the Food Bank. This highly collaborative position requires hands‑on and demonstrated experience in end‑to‑end payroll management and the willingness to perform other operational and administrative tasks within the People, Culture & Equity department. Who We Are
The San Francisco‑Marin Food Bank’s mission is to end hunger in San Francisco and Marin counties. We envision a community free of the root causes of hunger, where everyone has access to nutritious food of their choosing and is uplifted by a network of support. Together with more than 300 community partners, we work to address hunger head‑on through a coordinated network of neighborhood food pantries, CalFresh enrollment, home‑delivered groceries, and policy and advocacy efforts. In this fiscal year, we serve 36,000 households per week, delivering an emphasis on fresh fruits and vegetables. Who You Are

The Temporary Payroll & HR Coordinator will be responsible for the following key pieces of work: Organize and maintain personnel records Data entry into the HRIS system Assist with preparing reports/presentations by accessing data from various sources Prepare HR documents Maintain reports Answer employees’ queries about HR‑related issues Manage and perform all required payroll preparation and execution in accordance with deadlines Assist in HR projects What Else You Should Know
Required Experience: High school diploma or GED certificate 2+ years of experience in human resources and payroll processing required Experience with Paycom is a plus! Key Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Payroll processing Operating HR Systems Proficient with Microsoft Office Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position is set in an office environment. The physical and environmental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The starting salary for this position ranges from $36.81–$37.95 per hour, with exact compensation depending on experience. Benefits
