Overview East West Bank is looking for a Commercial Banking Relationship Manager. This role is to champion commercial banking business activities in the commercial banking segment with an aim to deepen and broaden relationships. Qualified individual must work well within a team environment, be a self-starter and collaborates closely with internal partners to deliver customer solutions.
Responsibilities
Actively prospect new customers and penetrate the existing client relationships.
Assume overall responsibility to conduct due diligence, assess risks and structure credit facilities.
Perform client portfolio risk management and monitoring to ensure each client relationship is in compliance with established EWB credit policy, procedures and business strategy as well as commercial and regulatory guidelines.
Prepare credit proposals, conduct regular credit reviews and monitor credit quality.
Cross-sell treasure services, trade finance, foreign exchange, interest rate derivatives, wealth management and other services to existing clients and prospects.
Work closely with internal stakeholders, particularly partners in EWB Greater China teams to explore and develop business opportunities.
Structure cross-border solutions including but not limited to global credits, treasury management, trade and FX solutions.
Facilitate cross-border transactions by providing support and advice to internal partners regarding relevant regulatory updates of China and solutions.
Provide cross-border market intelligence and insight to assist with internal solution/product development.
Stay active in community events and trade organizations to promote EWB brand.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
University degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years relationship management and sales experience in the commercial banking field.
Well-versed in market dynamics in mainland China and the US. Experience dealing with mainland corporate customers.
High level of customer centricity mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly self‑motivated and able to work under pressure and independently.

Compensation The base pay range for this position is USD $65,000.00/Yr. – USD $200,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
