Are you a detail-oriented, highly organized professional with a passion for numbers? We are seeking a meticulous and trustworthy Payroll Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our employee payroll, maintaining confidential information, and providing support for all payroll-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
? Collect, verify, and input employee timekeeping data, including hours worked, overtime, and leave. ? Process payroll for all employees on a regular bi-monthly basis. ? Calculate and process wages, taxes, and various deductions (e.g., insurance, retirement plans, garnishments). ? Maintain and update payroll records with changes in employee status, pay rates, and benefits. ? Generate and reconcile payroll reports, summaries, and financial statements. ? Prepare and issue payroll deposits. Address and resolve employee questions and concerns regarding payroll, deductions, and tax forms. ? Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. ? Assist with audits and other accounting-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
? High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus. ? Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk, Payroll Specialist, or in a similar role. ? Solid knowledge of payroll procedures and best practices. ? Familiarity with payroll software: nVision, Finance Manager, Office Suite, especially Excel. ? Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. ? Strong mathematical and analytical skills. ? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ? Ability to handle sensitive and confidential info- rmation with integrity and discretion. ? Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
