Role Description: The Automated Test Framework Software Engineer will support the framework of automated tests on multiple environments for a large complex enterprise system. Our agile development teams follow the Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) pattern, where developers are responsible for implementing robust testing leveraging DevOps automation and, where appropriate, the use of test automation commercial tools. The Software Engineer will be responsible for DevOps-related activities both individually and as a member of an Agile team. She/he will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites and frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications; implementing automated testing solutions and ensuring that the software is testable; writing and executing automated test scripts using various testing tools and frameworks; The selected individual will actively participate in daily stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Program Increment (PI) Planning, and other related team activities. Must have demonstrated experience with Java, including development of unit tests. * Must have experience with software source control and configuration management tools. * Must have experience working in Windows and/or Linux operating systems and experience working in a virtualized environment (managing VMs). * If not located at the MD location, some short-duration travel may be required to support quarterly PI Planning sessions in MD. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Basic Windows administration experience (i.e. Windows Registry Editor, Services, Task Scheduler, etc.). * Experience with the Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, SAFe Agilest Certification, or experience as a member of an Agile team.Please note that actual compensation may vary based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's qualifications, experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market conditions. In addition to base salary, candidates hired into this position may be eligible for a hiring bonus of $10,000.00, subject to applicable contingencies and Navstar policy.
