Senior System Engineer/System Architect– Fort Belvoir, VA REQUIREMENTS: • MUST LIVE WITHIN 50 MILE RADIUS OF FORT BELVOIR – NON-NEGOTIABLE • MUST HAVE ACTIVE TOP SECRET/SCI – TS acceptable if eligible for SCI upgrade • Bachelor’s degree in system’s engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science • 10 years’ experience in system architectural principles, methods, and techniques. • Experience in analyzing emerging technologies that can be adapted into the cloud and/or virtualized environments. • Experience identifying shortcomings in existing virtual or on-prem architectures • Experience with AWS cloud-based architectures • Experience in documenting future technology plans and integrating emerging technologies (hardware and software) CERTIFICATIONS: • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III certification and compliance upon hire • Baseline Certification – Cyber Security Fundamental, CISSP, or COMPTIA Security + upon hire • Operational Environment Certification – Linux/Red Hat Certified System Administrator upon hire JOB DUTIES: • Ensure that the architecture and design of DoD information systems are functional and secure • Develop reference architecture for the system and identify systems engineering • Develop, implement, and maintain reference architecture • Assess the requirements of customers and businesses, design documents, and develop an architectural approach for integration of new capabilities into legacy architecture • Provide technical advice for software development • Address issues related to systems, compatibility, and software integration • Container management and container orchestration • Provide Tier II / Tier III support for infrastructure Job Type: Full-time Salary: $160,000.00+/year, based on experience
