An aerospace client is looking for a CAD Operator whowill work within the client's Design/Drafting group and will be responsible for checking drawing/design packages for proper content and to ensure compliance with applicable industry and military standards. Location: Chandler, AZ 85286 (Onsite) Position: CAD Operator Pay Rate: $40.40/hr. on W2 (DOE) Duration: 12 months or longer Schedule: 9×80 A Shift: 1st Shift Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time RESPONSIBILITIES: * Will work within the client's Design/Drafting group and will be responsible for checking drawing/design packages for proper content and to ensure compliance with applicable industry and military standards. * This includes review of tolerance analysis, hardware selection and fitment on assembly prints. Additional duties include verifying 3D models submitted to manufacturing utilizing Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter. * Responsibility will further include liaison with various engineering disciplines, Manufacturing, and Quality. * Additional responsibilities to include modeling fully defined components and assemblies efficiently using Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter and create/revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME modeling and drawing standards. * Review mechanical drawings with appropriate personnel verifying completed work, checking dimensions, materials and quantities to be used. * Mechanical modeling using NX managed with Teamcenter * Create/Revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME 3D modeling and drawing standards. * Knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows, NX and Teamcenter as required. * Ability to obtain DoD security clearance * 2-year Technical Degree in Drafting or Engineering and 6 years directly related experience. * GDTP Professional Certification Preferred * Experience with Digital Product Definition Practices per ASME Y14.41 * Must have knowledge of standard manufacturing processes including CNC Mill and Lathe operations * Must be experienced with Siemens NX and Teamcenter * Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment * Must be comfortable working extended periods of time at a work station.
