Systems/DevOps Engineer with Security Clearance

Systems Engineer Location: Chantilly, Alexandria, Gaithersburg Work Type: Full Time GridIron IT is seeking a a Devops / Systems Engineer to work on an AWS systems team. The qualified candidate must have an active TS security clearance, and will work hand-in-hand with technical and program management leadership to implement the next generation desktop and web based production and dissemination system. This position will require experience standing up and maintaining Windows Servers in a cloud environments, and the deployment and maintenance of custom code, COTS, and GOTS to those environments. This position involves leading systems administration and Devops activities that support building and delivering new and innovative systems to implement analytics, exploitation, production and dissemination using web, remote desktop, and cloud technologies. Duties will include building Windows instances, performing deployments to multiple development, test and operational environments, patching, troubleshooting, and working with internal and external development teams as well as enterprise components. Evening or weekend work can be required (approx. Requires a BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related discipline and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience; Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI post hire Experience with cloud/Amazon Web services (AWS) Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems System (hardware, software and networking) Design and Architecture. Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines Experience developing webapps with Python Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Experience using AWS services/technologies (e.g. Experience with AWS Serverless architectures (lambda, API gateway, load balancing, autoscaling) Experience writing, maintaining, and describing architecture diagrams Microsoft and/or AWS certifications Salary Range: $100,000-$145,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs.
