Head of Brand POSITION OVERVIEW Join our dynamic team at JOEY, a promising startup in the highly regulated consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector. In this pivotal role as the Marketing Director, you'll be at the forefront of launching our brand in 2026. This position offers the unique opportunity to shape and execute the strategies that will drive our company's growth and success while adhering to the structured environment necessary in a regulated market. As the Marketing Director, you will take the lead in designing and implementing our launch roadmap, ensuring a vibrant introduction of the JOEY brand to consumers. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on execution, including campaigns, partnerships, and innovative digital activations. Collaboration is key; you'll work closely with the Growth Lead to ensure alignment between direct-to-consumer marketing and our omnichannel strategy, creating synergy between retail and digital efforts. Your expertise in consumer branding and digital media in regulated sectors will prove invaluable as you bring our disruptive products to market. This role focuses on direct impact rather than managing others. You'll thrive in a lean team environment supported by external partnerships, where your experience and proactive approach will be instrumental in JOEY's market entry. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Launch Leadership

- Own and manage the comprehensive strategy and execution for the 2026 launch, emphasizing brand-building and integrating digital campaigns with retail activations. Strategic Marketing Development

- Create effective annual and quarterly marketing plans that foster brand awareness and encourage trial among consumers. Integrated Marketing Approach

- Collaborate with the Growth Lead to harmonize direct-to-consumer and retail marketing strategies. Digital and Media Expertise

- Oversee the design and execution of all media campaigns, ensuring compliance in a highly regulated environment. Building Partnerships

- Establish connections with media outlets, cultural platforms, and other brands to enhance JOEY's reach and credibility. Campaign Development

- Develop creative briefs, guide the creative process, and manage activations involving agencies, freelancers, and cross-functional teams. Consumer Insight Utilization

- Convert consumer data and research insights into actionable marketing strategies and campaigns. Regulatory Compliance

- Ensure all marketing practices meet compliance standards while fostering innovative brand expression. QUALIFICATIONS 15+ years of marketing experience within consumer brands/CPG, with substantial launch leadership. A track record of successfully building and launching consumer-facing brands, preferably in regulated sectors (alcohol, cannabis, OTC, fintech, etc.). Strong digital media experience, including influencer programs and strategic partnerships. Adept at working cross-functionally with growth, sales, and creative teams. Proven ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting. Comprehensive knowledge of navigating regulatory constraints in creative brand development.
