Systems Architect with Security Clearance

IDR is seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Architect to join one of our premier clients supporting a high-profile missile defense program. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Huntsville, AL, where you'll be embedded with a cross-functional architecture and systems engineering team. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Systems Architect: • Lead development of Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Interface Design Documents (IDDs) • Create System Architecture solutions for evolving capabilities, collaborating across domains (software, network, cyber, etc.) • Coordinate logical and physical system architectures across integrated development teams • Interface with project leads, product owners, and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) stakeholders • Present architectural concepts to diverse internal and external audiences • Develop architecture documentation using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like Cameo • Stay current with evolving technologies in DoD Command and Control and COTS/FOSS IT products • Participate in design reviews and contribute to system documentation and architecture artifacts • Contribute to Agile and DevSecOps methodologies in support of digital engineering transformation Required Skills for the Systems Architect: • Minimum 9 years of engineering experience or 7 years with a Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science • Active Secret Clearance required to start • Experience architecting DoD systems using COTS/GOTS components with interoperability in mind • Proficient in developing engineering artifacts (e.g., use cases, specifications, interface documents, trade studies) • Familiar with DoD cybersecurity, RMF compliance, and private cloud/IT technologies (e.g., VMWare, RedHat, Nutanix) • Strong technical communication and presentation skills • Familiar with MBSE tools like Cameo and requirements tools like DOORS • Agile development familiarity What’s in it for you? • Competitive compensation package • Full Benefits; Medical, Vision, Dental, and more! • Opportunity to work with an industry-leading organization • Collaborative and team-oriented culture Why IDR? • 25+ Years of Proven Industry Experience in 4 major markets • Employee Stock Ownership Program • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance • ClearlyRated's Best of Staffing® Client and Talent Award winner 11 years in a row Compensation Details: $126,000
