UAS Systems Engineer Work Type: Full Time Ability to obtain DOD security clearance Role Overview: The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, integration, testing, and sustainment of UAS platforms and subsystems. This role involves working in a multidisciplinary environment to support both development and operational deployment of cutting-edge unmanned systems. Lead system-level design and integration for UAS platforms, including air vehicle, ground control, and communication subsystems. Develop and manage system requirements, interface control documents (ICDs), and system architecture models. Conduct trade studies, performance analysis, and system validation activities to ensure mission requirements are met. Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, software, avionics, and payload engineering teams to ensure end-to-end system integration. Plan and execute ground and flight testing, including test preparation, data analysis, and reporting. Troubleshoot performance issues and support system sustainment and upgrades throughout the product lifecycle. Participate in customer briefings, technical reviews, and configuration control boards. Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field; 3+ years of experience in unmanned systems, aerospace systems engineering, or related defense technology field. Demonstrated experience with systems engineering processes, including requirements development, integration, and verification. Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody, or similar. Active Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one). Experience with Group 3-5 UAS platforms or similar airborne systems. Knowledge of RF datalinks, SATCOM, C2 systems, or mission planning tools. Experience in Agile development environments. Excellent communication and technical writing skills. 00 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs.
