Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare invoices and reconcile settlement documents for events (concert, shows, sports, etc.) for multiple venues.
Assist with accounting close process, adhering to tight deadlines and account reconciliations.
General ledger accounting – prepare journal entries including event income and expense, accruals, payroll entries, outstanding bank transactions, and ticketing reports.
Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and general ledgers.
Assist with invoice preparation and accounts receivable monitoring across all venues.
Assist with year‑end audit.
Record and post payments, apply cash receipts and oversee all deposits.
Maintain and audit box office ticket sales reports.
Assist with monthly sales tax filing.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information.
Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to interact with all levels of staff, including management and clients.
Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
Education and Experience
Two‑year associate’s degree in accounting or B.S. in Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Thorough knowledge of general and cost accounting.
Excellent math skills and attention to detail.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Sage 50 preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of general and cost accounting.
Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, event‑driven environment.
Ability to work under limited supervision and interact with all levels of staff.
Ability to work irregular hours, including day, evening, weekends, and holidays.
Prioritization and meeting strict deadlines.
Professional attitude and appearance.

Working Conditions Location: Jacksonville, Florida. The role requires movement around the facility, standing for long hours during events, and working inside or outside the building as needed. The physical demands of this position are representative of those required to perform its essential functions.
