Objective Manages Human Resources Department activities as business partner in the plants’ organization. Executes HR operations and deliverables.

Primary Responsibilities

Contribute to the development, execution, and communication of winning strategies. Use foundation in business knowledge to facilitate strategy discussions for the future of NDS’ business. Work with management team to formulate unique business strategies and develop the organizational capabilities that serve as a competitive advantage.

Continually develop HR practices, policies and processes that link directly to the business strategy and create measurable business results.

Improve the efficiency of HR administrative work. Facilitate greater transaction processing at lower costs. Promote efficiencies by transferring transactional work out. Eliminate nice‑to‑have but unnecessary activities.

With focus on internal and external customers, creates value. Involve customers in the design of HR practices (i.e., performance management, rewards, training, recruitment, etc.).

Represent NDS in our communities and accounts for community requirements in NORMA Group’s value proposition. Lead issues of corporate social responsibility (CSR) including Compliance.

Support NDS in identifying and facilitating important change that improves eNPS of the plant/site. Turn what is known (data or information) into action.

Act as voice for the plant to Business, Region, and HQ HR. Build relationships of trust based on business knowledge. Offer point‑of‑view not just about HR issues, but business issues.

Provide support and counsel in building individual and organization capability. Create human abilities and organizational capabilities that are better than those of the competitors.

Measure & be transparent about HR activities.

Execute HR Programs, Processes, and Procedures in alignment with Business, Region, and HQ. These include and are not limited to Employee relations, employment, compensation administration, training and development, benefits, safety and health, records administration, and compliance.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in HR, labor relations, business or related required. Master’s degree in HR, labor relations, related preferred.

Eight (8)+ years of generalist manufacturing experience (of which at least five (5) years in a management capacity).

Lead HR roles in manufacturing; including positions at more than one manufacturing plant.

Expertise in recruiting, labor & employee relations, conducting investigations, managing LOA’s and employee development.

Business proficient English skills required.

Ability to connect HR work directly to the business.

Adaptability and versatility to recognize business situations that require different HR interventions.

Ability to build and sustain relationships with line managers as contributors to the business agenda.

Ability to conduct talent and organization audits to facilitate or drive change.

Expert knowledge in one or two functional HR areas.

Ability to work in a virtual, global organization in terms of HR practices.

Skilled in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word). SharePoint skills preferred.

Ability to relocate for career growth. Ability to participate in temporary assignments at other facilities.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, machine lubricants, airborne particles, vibration, and risk of electrical shock. The plant noise level is typically loud. Personal protective equipment (vision and hearing) used frequently.

Maintain considerable levels of concentration while working under time pressures and interruptions.

Frequently sit for extended periods; occasionally stand for extended periods.

Travel occasionally overnight (domestic and international) for meetings or projects.

Work on all shifts (day, swing, night) when required for business needs.
