Salary:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Overview The Night Auditor is the first point of contact for guests during overnight shift, responsible for closing front desk operations, auditing all charges, and reconciling daily activity.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
Process all payments according to established hotel requirements.
Audit and reconcile all charges and postings, and correct work as required.
Run end‑of‑day program and close day, ensuring all interfaces are up and running.
Run morning reports, backup reports and distribute accordingly.
Manage cash bank security and perform all cash handling duties.
Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments.
Answer telephone within 3 rings using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
Maintain knowledge of all hotel features, services, rates and local attractions.
Verify package postings on house accounts and process adjustments, rebates, paid outs and credits as required.
Maintain guest confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications & Core Competencies
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent experience.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Guest Service Agent preferred.
Computer skills required; familiarity with Microsoft Office and hotel systems preferred.
Previous cash handling experience preferred.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds, push/pull carts and equipment up to 100 pounds.
Willing and able to work a varied schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge of local area and ability to suggestively sell.
Work Environment Front office and all areas of the hotel. Variable temperature and noise levels in indoor and outdoor settings.
