Job Title : Leasing Consultant
Location : Beaverton, OR
Salary : $18 to $20 per hour

About the Position We’re looking for a talented leasing consultant who will be responsible for coordinating all activities related to apartment rentals, move‑ins, move‑outs, and lease renewals. The leasing consultant is also responsible for interacting directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and ensure resident retention and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Listen, understand, and show empathy and respect to others.
Ensure excellent customer service to prospective and current residents and promote a quality living experience for all.
Generate and handle traffic, qualify prospective residents, lease apartments, prepare lease documentation, and complete move‑in paperwork.
Ensure model apartments are in touring condition.
Orient prospective and current residents to the property, process renewal paperwork, and deliver documentation on a monthly basis.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of traffic activity by entering applicable information into the computer.
Follow up with all prospective residents via phone, mail, or email.
Convert phone traffic into scheduled appointments with prospective residents to tour the property.
Inspect apartments prior to resident move‑ins and ensure they are in move‑in condition, coordinating move‑in/out needs with maintenance.
Create and maintain confidential resident files, reviewing move‑in paperwork with new residents.
Complete weekly leasing reports accurately and on time.
Ensure all open and close procedures are completed daily.
Assist with ongoing resident relations, responding promptly and accurately to requests.
Assist with shopping competitive properties.
Inspect buildings and grounds to ensure safety and cleanliness, alerting maintenance to needed repairs.
Assist with processing work order requests for residents and ensuring timely completion.
Support management by providing clerical support such as answering phone calls, filing, and processing property invoices.
Assist with planning and implementing resident activities to increase retention.
Comply with all company policies, applicable health and safety rules, and local, state, and federal laws.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
High school diploma required.
Minimum one year of previous sales experience preferred.
One year of residential leasing experience preferred.
Skills & Requirements
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Prior experience in Yardi Voyager or equivalent system preferred.
Basic level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Effective and sensitive communication with all levels of management.
Sensitivity to confidential matters.
Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment with urgency.
Ability to relay technical concerns with adequate detail, quickly and accurately.
Strong reading, writing, and English comprehension skills.
Ability to use general office equipment (telephone, fax machine, printer, copier, key‑track system).
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Ability to handle difficult or angry individuals.
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance required.
Compliance with all safety requirements.
Completion of Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.
