Estimator – Painting, Waterproofing, Resinous Flooring and Fireproofing Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Estimator to perform precise quantity takeoffs for painting, waterproofing, seamless resinous flooring, fireproofing, and intumescent coatings. This role will use On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and On-Center Takeoff software to calculate measurements and prepare bid pricing sheets. Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using OST and On-Center Takeoff software. Validate scales and measurements before transferring data to pricing sheets. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of each project's plans, specifications, and client expectations. Review bid documents, drawings, and specifications to confirm scope of work. Communicate with general contractors, owners, and project managers to clarify project details. Identify and resolve discrepancies in project documents to ensure takeoff accuracy. Maintain organized records of takeoffs and ensure estimates are precise, timely, and competitive. Assist in developing project budgets and cost evaluations based on quantity takeoffs. Collaborate with project managers and estimators to support bid preparation and submission. Stay updated on industry standards, pricing trends, and best practices in estimating and takeoffs. Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 3–5 years of experience estimating painting, waterproofing, resinous flooring, and fireproofing projects. Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and On-Center Takeoff software. Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and industry standards. Excellent attention to detail for accurate takeoffs and correct scale usage. Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with GCs, owners, and clients. Problem‑solving ability to analyze documents, identify discrepancies, and provide solutions. Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Team collaboration skills to work closely with project managers and estimators. Ability to act as project manager and handle all cost events and change order requests. Preferred Qualifications

Experience estimating commercial and industrial projects. Knowledge of application methods and materials for painting, waterproofing, resinous flooring, fireproofing, and intumescent coatings. Familiarity with pricing and cost analysis for construction projects. Benefits
