Job overview The Salvation Army in Albany OR is looking for a Kettle Coordinator for the 2022 Christmas season. They will work in close cooperation with the Corps Officer and other leaders to support the total ministry of The Salvation Army by helping to aid in the transportation and driving of goods and persons related to the annual Red Kettle Fundraising Campaign and Toy Distribution.

Qualifications

Must be able to drive a full-size cargo van and pick up donated food items from stores and individuals during the Christmas Season and other times as needed.

Must be trustworthy.

Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.

Must possess the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Must have a pleasant disposition.

Must be in good mental and physical health - possessing the ability to lift 70 pounds or more.

Maintain and manage a safe working environment.

Must be able to work well with others.

Additional Qualifications

Incredibly strong organizational skills

Good people skills

Good public speaking and writing skills

Flexible schedule

Able to pass driving test administered by The Salvation Army and provide required documents

Essential Duties

Coordinate all volunteers ringing bells

Assemble all kettle stands

Organize kettle supplies, Bells, Aprons, Supply bags, etc.

Schedule Kettle Workers

Deliver and set up kettles for workers

Pick up kettles as needed at end of day

Pick up the deposit slips daily

Other duties as assigned

Mainly days, some evenings and weekends required. Hours may vary and overtime may be required. Temporary employment for Christmas season.
