Consulting Systems Engineer
Recruitment: Placement in Huntsville, Alabama. Clearance: Secret. Travel: Yes, 10% of the time. Relocation assistance: None.
Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector invites qualified applicants to join our team as a Consulting Systems Engineer. The role involves maintaining engineering models, developing system architecture diagrams, and collaborating with Integrated Product Teams. Candidates should have experience with Cameo models or similar MBSE tools and hold an active Secret clearance.
Note:
This opportunity is contingent on program funding. Start dates are determined after funding confirmation.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the planning team to create conceptual data models and data flows.
Design, develop, and document systems that contain logical solutions using MBSE.
Review modifications of existing systems for cross‑compatibility.
Implement data strategies and develop physical data models.
Coach team members on developing requirements, architecture, design, and implementation in the model.
Assist MT lead with task prioritization and delegation to meet overall IPT goals and objectives.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 20 years of related professional/military experience, or Master of Science with 18 years, or STEM Ph.D. with 16 years.
Experience developing MBSE products in Cameo or similar tools.
Experience with mission engineering and modeling software systems.
Familiarity with network, commercial cloud, and platform infrastructures.
Familiarity with containerized software architecture.
Experience with PLE environment.
Experience with systems engineering tools (e.g., Cameo Suite) and Agile framework.
Ability to maintain a cleared Secret clearance and meet program access requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with modeling and simulation.
Familiarity with MagicGrid methodology.
Familiarity with digital engineering processes and environments.
Knowledge of MOSA, interface definition, development, and control.
Experience integrating complex systems across multiple domains.
Experience demonstrating concepts to management and customers.
Salary and Benefits Salary range: $197,500.00 – $296,300.00. Northrop Grumman provides health insurance, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, PTO, potential overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentive eligibility for senior positions.
