Neil Huffman Volkswagen is currently hiring an experienced Automotive Service Technician with strong diagnostic talent to join our growing service department. The position involves full automotive troubleshooting, routine inspections, and repairs. Applicants must have their own tools and proper credentials to show certification of Master Technician with manufacturer. Pay and sign‑on bonus will be based on experience and certifications.
Perform work as outlined on the repair order with minimal supervision.
Establish a positive relationship, striving to obtain a high Customer Service Index.
Keep apprised of changes, innovations to service techniques, as well as manufacturer technical bulletins and help lines.
Attend factory‑sponsored training classes as mandated by management.
Advise the service advisor if additional work is needed or if specific work as outlined is not necessary.
Supervise the work (coach/teach) of less‑skilled technicians.
Keep vehicles clean while working on them and keep work clothes and equipment stalls as clean as possible.
Arrive before the designated starting time.
Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA/EPA standards.
Keep personal tools updated to maintain state‑of‑the‑art equipment and advise the service manager of needed shop tools or repair of tools.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Multi‑state of the art service facilities located in the greater Louisville and Southern Indiana area.
