Payroll Analyst Aston Carter

is seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst with specialized expertise in Certified Payroll to support our expanding payroll operations team. The role is essential for maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage laws, particularly under the Davis‑Bacon Act, by ensuring timely, accurate, and complete reporting of certified payroll data for public and government‑funded projects.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage laws.

Accurately report certified payroll data for public and government-funded projects.

Handle payroll processing, data entry, and payroll tax duties.

Perform reconciliation and audit tasks related to payroll.

Manage union payroll operations and work within the construction industry context.

Essential Skills

Expertise in certified payroll.

Proficiency in payroll systems such as Paycom.

Experience in union payroll and construction industry.

Strong skills in payroll processing and accounting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in certified payroll.

Familiarity with the Davis‑Bacon Act.

Strong data entry skills.

Work Environment Enjoy a great company culture with a relaxed environment and opportunities to gain valuable industry knowledge. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring four days in the office and one day working from home, with the work-from-home day being non‑selectable.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.73 - $32.69/hr.
