The Total Rewards & Compensation Manager leads the strategy and design of compensation, benefits, and payroll programs that attract and retain top talent. This role is both strategic and hands‑on—balancing data‑driven analysis with people‑centered leadership to ensure our total rewards philosophy supports our “We Lead, We Care, We Grow” values.
Compensation Strategy & Administration
Develop and manage competitive compensation structures, salary bands, and incentive programs that align with company goals and market benchmarks.
Partner with HR and executive leadership to conduct annual compensation reviews and make recommendations for merit increases, promotions, and adjustments.
Lead pay equity analyses and ensure compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws.
Benefits Management
Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of health, wellness, retirement, and leave programs.
Drive the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment strategy, aligning vendor partnerships and employee engagement to deliver a high‑value total rewards experience.
Evaluate benefits utilization and employee feedback to improve offerings and cost efficiency continuously.
Payroll Oversight
Lead and support the payroll team to ensure accurate, timely processing of multi‑state payrolls and maintain high standards of accountability.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
Oversee payroll audits, reconciliations, and process improvements to strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing Benefits and Payroll team, fostering accountability and growth.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to ensure cohesive and compliant total rewards practices.
Serve as the company’s subject‑matter expert on total rewards philosophy, compliance, and market trends.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Master’s or CCP/CBP preferred.
5+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards; 2+ years leading teams.
Strong knowledge of FLSA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, and other relevant regulations.
Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems (Workday, Paycom, ADP, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
Demonstrated success in balancing strategy with operational execution in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.
