The Law Office of Jason Wright is a family and school law firm serving Travis, Williamson, and Hays Counties. We help families navigate divorce, custody disputes, property division, modifications, and enforcements. Our school law practice supports children, parents, and teachers with IEP enforcement, grievances, and safety or disciplinary issues. We are a litigation-focused firm seeking an Associate Attorney who values creative solutions but is also ready to take a case to trial. You’ll manage your own docket of family law cases from start to finish and work closely with clients to deliver results with professionalism and empathy. This role is ideal for an attorney who’s personable, detail-oriented, and proactive, with excellent communication and client-management skills. While we prioritize resolution through negotiation and mediation, we are a full litigation firm that isn’t afraid to take cases to trial. Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact with clients on your docket Manage family law cases from intake to resolution Draft and review pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents Prepare witnesses and clients for hearings and trials Conduct hearings and trials (first chair) Communicate regularly with clients to ensure clarity and trust Collaborate with supervising attorneys and paralegals Document case progress in line with firm procedures Participate in marketing and networking events as needed Learn about and conduct initial consultations Required Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Attention to detail and time management Resourcefulness and proactive problem-solving Proficiency with MacOS, Microsoft Word, Excel, Clio, and Google Workspace Comfortable using CRM systems or legal management software Experience & License
Minimum: 1+ year practicing Family Law License: Active Texas State Bar License Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $100,000 – $130,000+ (DOE) Quarterly bonus structure 4% 401(k) match (immediate eligibility) 100% employer-paid health insurance (immediate eligibility) 3 weeks of PTO after 90 days 16 paid additional firm holidays per year (immediate eligibility) Dental and vision insurance (immediate eligibility) Professional development assistance Schedule
