Territory Manager – CLE Cigar Company

Position Title: Territory Manager

Department: Sales

Location: Miami, FL

Reports To: VP of Sales

Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Territory Manager to join our team in the cigar industry. The ideal candidate will have a passion for premium cigars, a strong understanding of the tobacco market, and excellent sales and relationship‑building skills. This role involves developing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and representing our brand in a professional and knowledgeable manner. Travel up to 50%, and passport required.

Key Responsibilities Client Acquisition and Retention

Identify and target potential clients, including retail cigar shops, tobacconists, hospitality businesses, and wholesale/distribution chains.

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to ensure long‑term loyalty.

Sales Execution

Present and promote our cigar products to prospective and existing clients.

Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives within assigned territories.

Use sales techniques and strategies to place product in accounts.

Product Knowledge

Develop a deep understanding of the company's cigar portfolio, including product specifications, flavor profiles, and potential markets for select products.

Educate clients on product offerings and provide recommendations based on their needs.

Market Analysis

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities.

Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams to improve products and sales strategies.

Reporting and Communication

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and order details using CRM software.

Prepare regular sales reports and present updates to management.

Event Participation

Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer tastings to promote products and expand the brand’s visibility.

Qualifications

Proven experience in sales, preferably in the cigar, tobacco, or luxury goods industry.

Strong knowledge of cigars, including different types, brands, and market trends.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and able to work independently.

Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills

Existing network within the cigar or tobacco industry.

Ability to organize and lead sales meetings with B2B customers.

Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office programs, and email communication systems.
