Adult Education Substitute Teacher (Hourly/Part Time/Temporary)
Position available with the West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD) in Richmond, CA. The role supports adult education classrooms for the 2025-2026 school year.
Responsibilities
Teach adult learners in assigned courses as a substitute teacher.
Adhere to district curriculum and instructional standards.
Maintain accurate attendance and assessment records.
Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to ensure continuity of instruction.
Qualifications
Certified with a California teaching credential or a valid 30‑Day Substitute Teaching Permit, or any CA clear teaching credential including Adult Education Designated Subjects.
Fingerprint clearance through the WCCUSD before hiring.
Official transcripts (signed, sealed, unopened envelope).
Strong communication and organizational skills.
