Job Description As a
Security Officer - Government Access Specialist
in Cape Canaveral, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. As an Allied Universal team member specializing in access control, you will help to deter security‑related incidents and support a secure environment within a government location. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to maintain a visible presence. This role emphasizes excellent customer service, clear communication, and upholding the highest standards of integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour
Schedule: Mon 08:00 PM - 06:00 AM; Tue 08:00 PM - 06:00 AM; Wed 08:00 PM - 06:00 AM; Thur 08:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do
Monitor and control access points to deter unauthorized entry following site policies and procedures.
Verify identification and credentials according to established protocols.
Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting visitors, contractors, and employees.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, initiating emergency response when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and its perimeter to observe irregularities.
Document and report all security‑related incidents, observations, and activities per guidelines.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and on‑site personnel to maintain a secure environment.
Minimum Requirements
At least 2 years of security‑related experience.
At least 21 years of age.
At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
Access control and badge experience preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Background investigation required per laws.
Criminal history considered consistent with laws.
Drug screen as permitted by law.
Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
