Personal Injury Attorney – Pre‑Litigation | Hybrid We’re hiring a pre‑litigation associate attorney to support a lead attorney in managing a high‑volume caseload. This is a fast‑paced, goal‑oriented role – ideal for someone who’s confident handling files independently, meets monthly benchmarks, and is eager to learn and adapt.
This role involves hands‑on work throughout the pre‑litigation process, including drafting demands, negotiating settlements, supplementing files, reviewing releases, and handling case clean‑up. You should be comfortable digging into files, requesting records when needed, and working closely with the lead attorney and case managers to keep cases on track.
Our firm operates in multiple states. You will be assisting on pre‑litigation matters under the lead attorney’s license, including out‑of‑state cases. Training on state‑specific rules and procedures will be provided, but you’ll need to be quick to learn and confident applying new knowledge.
Experience with
wrongful death cases
is strongly preferred. This is not a litigation or trial position. It’s best suited for someone who is organized, proactive, and ready to take ownership of their work.
Compensation $120,000 – $160,000 yearly
Responsibilities
Handle personal injury case files from start to finish.
Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information.
Supervise and delegate tasks to the team of legal assistants, paralegals, case managers, litigation paralegals, and legal secretary.
Arrange suitable agreements and settle on the clients’ behalf when appropriate.
Draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents.
Investigate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly.
Record and update the status of all case files in the case management system.
Research case law and premises liability, and gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case.
Qualifications
State Bar Association membership and state license to practice law is mandatory.
Proficiency in computers is vital.
Good understanding of personal injury law/tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice.
Bachelor’s degree and J.D. degree required.
Superior drafting, research, negotiation, and communication skills preferred.
Two years of personal injury experience in wrongful death, medical malpractice, and/or personal injury practice areas is required.
About Company At Bond Legal, our mission is to successfully fight for the financial justice of personal injury victims by providing ethically sound and good‑faith legal counsel and strategic advice, according to the laws and regulations in each jurisdiction in which we practice.
