Marketing Videographer (CS26-125) Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) invites applications for the position of Marketing Videographer (CS26-125).

Pay Range Base pay: $48,199.00 – $60,797.00 per year. Actual pay is based on skills and experience.

What You Will Do

Film and create video content that tells the story of SIUE in a compelling way that attracts and retains students and engages stakeholders.

Capture content, interviews, and video for scripted copy, and produce videos that focus on the initiatives set forth by Marketing and Communications staff and other department leaders.

Produce videos for use at events and on digital platforms including social media, YouTube, and web pages.

Archive video footage for continuous use by Marketing and Communications staff.

Conduct filming and related responsibilities at multiple campus locations throughout the region as well as off‑site locations as directed.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

Hold a bachelor’s degree in video production, mass communications, communication, design, or a related field.

Have a minimum of two years of experience in video production.

Demonstrate experience in all aspects of video production and possess extensive knowledge of video editing software.

Show proficiency with motion graphics and animation, with a working knowledge of standard graphic design software preferred.

Be skilled in visualizing and shooting concepts effectively.

Have knowledge and application of the following (preferred):

Creative composition, including framing, rule of thirds, leading lines, layering of subjects, and use of focus and white space for visual interest.

Cinematography techniques such as camera movements and motion stabilization.

Lighting and audio techniques for video production.

Drone operation for aerial videography.

Have experience managing and sharing digital assets, maintaining organized video storage and archives, and backing up workflows for high‑volume production.

Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.

Have strong organizational and administrative skills.

Provide proof of a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Civil Service Information Pursuant to the State University Civil Service System, this position is classified under number 5014 – SUCSS Classification Title. Candidates will be assessed according to the system’s requirements.

Illinois Residency Requirement Out‑of‑state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date and provide proof of a valid Illinois Driver’s License or state ID. Failure to do so is grounds for immediate separation.

Veterans Veterans qualifying for preference must provide proof of eligibility within ten working days of submitting an application. Required evidence includes a copy of the veteran’s DD‑214/​DD‑215, NGB22, or DD‑256 discharge certificate.
