Job Description

Assistant Plant Manager – Schertz, TX

Red River Brick, a premier brand of the General Shale network, the nation’s leading brick and masonry materials manufacturer, is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager for our manufacturing facility in Schertz, TX.

The Assistant Plant Manager will report directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations within the plant. This position plays a key role in driving production efficiency, maintaining product quality, and ensuring a safe and positive work environment.

Responsibilities include:

Motivating and directing employees to meet production and quality goals while ensuring compliance with safety policies and company standards.

Coordinating maintenance and repair work to keep equipment in proper working condition.

Applying problem-solving and critical-thinking techniques to improve processes, productivity, and safety.

Organizing production schedules to maximize utilization of equipment and personnel.

Maintaining production inventory accuracy through periodic physical counts and adjustment requests.

Qualifications:

Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with a background in

brick, block, stone, or other masonry products .

Strong communication skills, computer proficiency, and mechanical aptitude.

Experience coordinating plant operations, maintenance, and process improvements.

Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) or robotics is beneficial but not required.

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) required due to the need to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking workforce members.
