Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1820 - $1870 per week Key Job Details – SICU RN Travel Assignment Location: Fredericksburg, VA 22401 (Virginia nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting: Level II Trauma Center, 38-bed mixed ICU (SICU/MICU/CVICU) Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract Start Date: December 2, 2025 Shift: 4x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00) Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend On-Call: Not required Charting System: Epic EMR Scrub Color: Navy blue SICU RN Qualifications Active Virginia or Compact Registered Nurse license Minimum 2 years of recent SICU, ICU, or critical care nursing experience Required: CRRT (Prismaflex) experience; plus at least one of: IABP, Impella, or EVD Drain skills Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (TNCC and CSC preferred) Experience with Level II trauma patients and community hospital settings Proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation, arterial line management, and blood product administration Ability to float to stepdown units as needed Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) First-time travel nurses welcome SICU RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill surgical and trauma patients, including open heart and neurosurgery cases Operate advanced life support equipment: CRRT, ventilators, arterial lines, Swan catheters, balloon pumps, Impella Monitor cardiac rhythms, manage vasoactive drips, and administer continuous IV sedation Assist with bedside procedures: chest tube insertions, EGDs, bronchoscopies Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response) Float to stepdown units as required, maintaining safe patient ratios Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Fredericksburg, VA!
