About the Role We are seeking an experienced
Benefits and Wellness Consultant
to support the administration and delivery of employee benefits and wellness programs across multiple regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in U.S. benefits operations, compliance, and employee engagement. This role will focus on day-to-day benefits administration, process improvement, and driving initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily benefits operations including onboarding, terminations, billing, and HRIS updates.
Handle employee inquiries related to benefits, wellness programs, and leave administration.
Support leave of absence and disability/accommodation processes in compliance with applicable laws.
Partner with Finance and Payroll to reconcile invoices and ensure data accuracy.
Assist with compliance activities such as 5500 filings, ACA reporting, and non-discrimination testing.
Create and distribute communications, policy documents, and resources for benefits and wellness programs.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Contribute to budgeting and governance initiatives related to benefits and wellness.
Required Qualifications
Minimum
3 years of experience
in U.S. employee benefits and wellness administration.
Strong knowledge of healthcare, retirement, and work-life programs.
Understanding of relevant compliance regulations (ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, ACA).
Proficiency with
HRIS platforms
such as Workday or similar systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years
of progressive experience in benefits and wellness administration.
Experience managing external vendor and broker relationships.
Solid project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Familiarity with benefits governance and plan design.
Experience supporting benefits programs across the U.S. and Canada.
