Your Role And Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for all assigned contracts that are tendered, negotiated, and executed in accordance with relevant corporate/division/business policies and procedures, Contract Management Policy, and Contract Management Framework. You will also review and comment on commercial tender terms and conditions, including relevant schedules and annexes.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Supports in the drafting of purchase orders, contracts, and subcontracts, to ensure that relevant (sub) contracts contain appropriate contract terms to protect ABB’s interest, including flow-down of main contract terms. Analyzing the contract terms to highlight the areas of potential opportunity and risk, such as ambiguities, omissions, and conflicts, throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with risk mitigation strategies.

Risk process management on general contractual issues in the assigned contracts in line with Contract Management Policy, clarifying queries, if required, by referring to the Contract Manager or Legal and Integrity function. Seeks advice from the ABB Legal and Integrity function, Trade Compliance function, HSE function, and Sustainability function, and other Subject Matter Experts to ensure compliance, accurate handling and early warning of all risks and triggers.

Lifecycle Contract management to the solution project, from tendering till both parties have fulfilled their contractual obligations and are free of any outstanding responsibilities. Support L&I to manage contract disputes and litigations in a strategic and cost-effective manner.

Qualifications For The Role

Minimum 8 years of overseas EPC contract & claims management under FIDIC Silver Books, spanning variation, EOT, disruption and force‑majeure events. Full project‑life exposure: pre‑tender review, site execution, commissioning, hand‑over and defects liability.

Proven ability to draft high‑value claim submissions. Solid command of PRC outbound construction law, tax, trade and arbitration practice; PRC Legal Professional Qualification Certificate strongly preferred. Fluent in English, proven ability to draft high‑value claim submissions, can produce professional contractual and legal wordings to official letters or reports.

Track record of leading negotiations with employers, lenders and JV partners across multiple jurisdictions and cultures. Open and business‑oriented mindset, not limited by the boundaries, collaboration across team and business to maximize ABB winning opportunities at market.
