Position Overview
Cascade Bible Church (La Pine, OR) is seeking a full‑time Assistant Pastor to focus on music ministry and to lead young married and single adults into discipleship. The role involves leading worship, teaching, Bible study, and providing pastoral care to the congregation.
Key Responsibilities
Preach the Word, teach, exhort and refute as described in 2 Timothy 4:2, 1 Timothy 3:2, 2 Timothy 3:5, etc.
Shepherd the church, watch over the congregation and provide leadership (1 Peter 5:2, 1 Timothy 3:4‑5).
Model Christ‑like maturity and be an example to the flock (1 Peter 5:3, 1 Timothy 4:11‑12).
Assist the senior pastor and manage day‑to‑day church activities.
Pray continually for the church and its members (James 5:14‑15).
Lead worship: oversee Sunday morning songs, special music, special services, and other music ministry activities.
Teach and shepherd youth, young married, and single adults through Bible studies and programs.
Qualifications
Full alignment with the church’s doctrinal statement and constitution.
Experience in music ministry leadership.
Experience teaching, leading Bible studies, and pastoral care for young adults.
Strong biblical knowledge, prayer life, and Christian character.
Ministry experience with young marriages and singles.
Benefits Compensation:
Total package of $50,000 with starting salary $2,400.
The church offers a mission house, utilities, health‑insurance assistance, and two weeks of vacation.
