The Payroll Specialist of Tax oversees and assists with balancing, daily audit, daily review and distribution of mail received into the Burlington office and email correspondence. Scans mail and provides to team members and uploads documents to ADP Smart Compliance portal. Respond to HR Central tickets and assign to Senior Payroll Specialist members based on their assigned jurisdictions. Process A/P payments for non-ADP tax filings, pull tax records and reports for team duties and audits and save to SharePoint. To include special project assignments as assigned by Team lead or Manager. The incumbent is responsible to ensure adherence to legislation and regulatory compliance as well as Labcorp Global Standards.

Responsibilities

Workday research and manual entry

Test execution within Workday

Workday data entry

ADP SmartCompliance research and downloading records

Upload tax documents onto SmartCompliance portal (such as agency notifications, POA paperwork, etc.)

Research agency out of balances

Workday reporting, payroll controls/validations

Balancing quarterly and annual tax jurisdiction, processing’s and filings

Daily, weekly auditing of tax elections

Balancing W-2's

Preparing W-2c's

Analyze documents to determine action to be taken on daily mail

Maintaining logs/records

Researching employee and agency inquiries

Completion of ad hoc projects and tasks, as required

Responding to HR or employee inquiries on the HR Central portal

Participate in internal and external audits when requested

Perform several advanced excel calculations in order to assist with required balancing after each weekly/biweekly payroll processing to ensure taxation is set up correctly within Workday

Qualifications

Minimum three years relevant work experience with Associates degree required OR five years relevant work experience with no degree required

Systems experience, preferably Workday & ADP SmartCompliance strongly preferred.

Good time management and prioritization skills strongly preferred.

Good verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.

Payroll or Accounting Qualification preferred.

Good organizational skills preferred.

Pay Range $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Shift Mon – Fri, 8am – 5pm EST
