Role Overview

Under general supervision, perform professional analytical work related to identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks affecting City operations, employees, assets, and the public. Support the administration of the City's insurance, claims, and enterprise risk management programs to promote organizational resilience and fiscal responsibility. Key Responsibilities

Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to liability, property, workers’ compensation, and automobile claims. Monitor claims activity, assist with reporting and investigations, and coordinate with insurance carriers and adjusters. Maintain accurate exposure schedules, risk register, and related documentation to support insurance renewals and broader enterprise risk management initiatives. Utilize data‑driven analysis to identify trends and recommend strategies to reduce losses and prevent incidents. Research emerging trends, risks, regulatory compliance, and municipal best practices to ensure proactive risk mitigation. Support the City's safety and loss prevention programs by analyzing incident data and recommending corrective measures that improve workplace safety and reduce exposure. Assist in identification and management of operational and financial risks associated with City services and programs. Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations for management, City Council, and special committees. Participate in audits, inspections, and special projects. Supervise assigned staff: schedule, assign, instruct, guide, and check work; appraise employee performance; provide training and development; enforce personnel rules and regulations. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance, Business, Public Administration, Risk Management, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years professional experience in risk management, insurance administration, claims analysis, or data analytics. Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License or equivalent from another state by time of appointment. Application Information
