Bookkeeper (Part-Time)
Position Description
The Part-Time Bookkeeper at PlaneSmart! Aviation is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial recordkeeping of the company. This includes maintaining accurate accounting records, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and credit card statements and preparing reports for management.
Reporting This position reports to the Controller
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accounting software
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely manner
Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements
Assist with payroll preparation and expense reimbursements
Prepare periodic reports for management review
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable regulations
Maintain organized digital and physical financial files
Additional responsibilities may be delegated to meet the needs of the business
Experience and Skills
Demonstrated success in bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial roles
Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks or equivalent)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information responsibly
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong communication skills and ability to work with team members and management
Education
Associates degree or equivalent work / life experience
